Our Vision
Cloverdale Community Centre is a welcoming light in an ever-changing environment.
Our Mission
Cloverdale Community Centre aims to:
- benefit and strengthen individuals and the community by providing a caring and inviting centre for all people to meet and interact in a positive and encouraging atmosphere; and
- encourage and support new ideas and opportunities through learning, by providing information and affordable services.
Cloverdale Community Centre is an incorporated body run by a voluntary committee of management.
The office is staffed primarily by a group of wonderful volunteers. There is a part-time co-ordinator funded with the assistance of the Department of Human Services and a part-time office administrator. Our latest staff member is our new adult education officer. The building is owned by the City of Greater Geelong. The City also helps with various grants to support the work of the Centre.
As a community centre, Cloverdale aims to provide a pleasant place for people to visit and meet new people. We aim to be responsive to community needs in providing classes and activities to suit as many different tastes as possible. Check out our current classes to see the variety we have on offer. We are always interested in offering new classes so please contact us if you have any ideas.
The Centre also offers room hire and office services at affordable rates. Check out our services for more detailed information.
Cloverdale Community Centre is a member of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres (ANHLC), Barwon Network of Neighbourhood Houses and an associate member of the Northern Community Education Network (NCEN). The Centre is an accredited ACE (Adult and Continuing Education) provider and supported by ACFE (Adult and Continuing Further Education). |
